SORA – A1075779
Gone - 6-4-2016 Brooklyn
*** GONE 06/04/16*** CALLING ALL NEW HOPE RESCUE ANGELS! 911! SORA is just a baby at a year old. This little boy is beautifully marked and colored. He was brought into the shelter as a stray, and is having a really rough time there. He’s completely terrified, and needs out NOW. The ACC is a scary place even for the biggest, baddest tom cats muchless a baby boy like Sora. Cats like Sora often blossom once being placed in a relaxed home environment. It’s amazing what a difference a fully belly, a loving hand, calming voice, and a little patience can make for cats in this type of situation. The shelter is not the type of environment that any animal is meant to thrive in. The ACC will KILL SORA AT NOON TOMORROW FOR HIS FEAR if a NEW HOPE RESCUE doesn’t save him in time! If you’d like to work with a New Hope partner to give this beautiful cat the chance he deserves, contact the Help Desk at [email protected] NOW! Time is of the essence, don’t wait or it could be too late for Sora! Act NOW!

06/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please note that Sora is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Sora was hiding in the cat den when I approached cage When spoken quietly: Sora continues to hide in cat den Reaction to door cage opening: Sora tenses up inside the cat done Reaction to touch: Sora hisses and does not allow petting Try picking cat up: Sora is not tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: New Hope Sora was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Sora was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Sora may require further investigation before placement in a home. He extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
