SAFE 8/3/17 SOMA is a young kitten that was brought to the shelter due to owner having personal problems. Her owner suspects she may possibly be pregnant. Her owner stated that she was bred at home. She was described as friendly and outgoing. Please consider helping SOMA.

Soma A1120099 – 10 month female gray/white, OS:
Soma is a 10 month old gray and white female cat who was surrendered by her owner due to personal problems. She stated that Soma was bread at home and she has had her for the past 10 months. The owner stated that Soma has no known medical issues.
Owner stated that when around strangers she is friendly and outgoing. The owner stated that she has not spent time around children so it is unknown how she will react. When playing with adults Soma is gentle. Soma has spent time around other cats in the home and she is relaxed and affectionate. When playing with other cats she is gentle. Soma has not spent time in the home round dogs so it is unknown how she will react.
Owner stated that overall Soma behaves well. On the way to the ACC in the car she was meowing. Soma has never had a bath so it is unknown how she will react. When having her nails trimmed she will struggle to get away. Soma enjoys being held and brushed. She isn’t bothered if she is put in a carrier or disturbed while he sleeps.
Owner described Soma as friendly affectionate and playful with a high activity level. When at home he will follow his owner around. Soma likes to play with balls and string. She has been kept indoors only and eats both wet and dry food. She is very much litter box trained and never has accidents. Soma had two litter boxes in the home one was covered the other was hooded with clumping litter. Soma scratches on a vertical scratching post made out of carpet.

H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated – see U/G
U/G: IF, 2 caudal abdominal structures palpable cranial to bladder, oval in shape likely early to mid gestation feti
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
