I came into the shelter as a aco impound on 20-Nov-2017, with the surrender reason stated as poor choice – too many animals already.

Snowy is at risk for medical reasons. Snowy has contract Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, she is a bit shy initially, but warms up to attention. She is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Snowy was brought in with limited information on her behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. She lived in a home with other cats and dogs and was reported to be a good cat, though a bit shy.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Shy at first but warms up very quickly and is very affectionate.
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 11/21/17 Curled up behind litter box. Became alert when door opened, lip licking, shifting in place. Sniffed hand, then started leaning into pets and purring quietly, eyes and posture softened noticeably.

Reaction to assessor:: Snowy remains calm and relaxed, looking at the assessor with soft eyes.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Snowy slowly lifts her rear and rubs her cheeks against her bedding. She starts to knead and rolls over.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Snowy remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:: Snowy gets up and head-butts the assessor. She leans in for petting, purrs, and continues to knead.
Reaction to being picked up:: Snowy remains calm and allows handling.
