Reaction to assessor: Smoochie was at the front of the cage looking at the assessor with wide eyes When spoken quietly: Smoochie relaxes and starts to rub on the cage door Reaction to door cage opening: Smoochie remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Smoochie solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Smoochie is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Average Smoochie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, stays at the front of the kennel, interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Smoochie is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner.
