I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/25/2016 from NY 11355, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-075566.

Reaction to assessor: Smokey looked tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Smokey remained in place, stress meowing, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Smokey avoids contact and attempts to escape the cage. Placement determination: NH ONLY Smokey is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
