11/08/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/08/16 13:53 Basic Info: Six A1096237 is a 15yr old female tortie DSH feline who was found as a stray as a newborn & is being surrendered due to pet health. She’s never been seen by a veterinarian and currently has been vomiting (not interested much in food, but ate quite a bit rather quickly while at the BXAC) and has a distended abdomen. Socialization: Around strangers Six is friendly/outgoing. She hasn’t been around other animals or children but was gentle, relaxed, playful & affectionate with the adults in the home. Six hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Six isn’t bothered by the following: being in a car, being picked up/held or with being placed into a carrier. She hasn’t had her nails trimmed, had a bath, been brushed nor has she been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Six is described as friendly, playful (at times), mellow & quiet with a low-medium activity level. When the owner is home she follows them around sometimes. Six enjoys ball & mouse toys at times and is an indoor only cat that sleeps around the home. Six eats dry & wet Purina Cat Chow 1-3x a day. She is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within. Six doesn’t have a scratching post but doesn’t scratch on items in the home. Intake Behavior: Six allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of even though she is quite fast and tried several times to run/jump off the backdrop table. Six didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a carrier with ease for transport to MACC.

11/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Former owner stated around strangers Six is friendly/outgoing. She hasn’t been around other animals or children but was gentle, relaxed, playful & affectionate with the adults in the home. Also, described as friendly, playful (at times), mellow & quiet with a low-medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Six looks neutral, lying down by the front when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Six remains in place, relaxed body posture, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Six briefly accepts the stroke on the head, but along the body she becomes agitated then hisses and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Six tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
