Subjective / Observed Behavior – BAR. did not allow handling without sedation. Hissing, swatting and backing into corner when kennel approached. Swatted with nails out when approached with assessment hand.

H/L: No murmur ausculted; CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: no masses palpated
U/G: spayed female. tattoo present.
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted; focal abrasion along RTL, dorsal to digit #1. Nailbed trauma to RPL digit #4; nail intact
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: grossly normal.

dexdomitor 0.2ml / butorphanol 0.2ml
clipped, cleaned abrasion on RTL with chlorhex solution
cleaned nail on RPL w chlorhex solution.

await behavioral assessment.
rec continue with oral gabapentin x 3 days.
