Basic Information
Shadow is an 11 year old neutered domestic long hair. Owner is surrendering him due to allergies. Owner adopted Shadow from a friend many years ago. Owner stated Shadow has no medical issues and last saw a vet three years ago.
Socialization
Shadow is shy for a few minutes around strangers. He has spent time with kids of all ages. He is respectful and tolerant of their petting. He plays in a gentle manner with kids and adults. Two years ago he lived with a 10 year old female cat. They were affectionate with each other and played in a gentle manner. He has never lived or spent time with dogs. He has never bitten or scratched a person or animal.
Behavior
Shadow has no behavior issues. When he rides in the Subway she behaves in a relaxed manner. Owner stated she has not bathed him for a long time. She has never trimmed his nails. If you attempt to brush Shadow he will swat at you. He tolerates being picked up and placed in a carrier. He is not bothered if disturbed while sleeping.
For a New Family to Know
Shadow is described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a medium activity level. He likes bell rubs and prefers her water with ice. He will follow her owner around when home. He was kept indoors only and slept on owner’s bed. He was fed Friskies dry cat food. Owner gave him a small amount three times a day. He uses an uncovered cat litter box with clumping style litter in it. He scratched on a wall made out of smooth wood.
