11/21/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/21/16 17:26 Shadow’s previous owner says that she is a shy cat and has not been around any kids. During the time she had her, Rose says that Shadow did not play with anyone and mostly hid. Shadow did scratch her previous owner once while cornering Shadow to pick her up. Shadow did previously live with another cat but they were kept separate so it is unknown how Shadow would react to other cats. She has mostly been kept indoors and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. On intake Shadow was extremely shy. Since she did scratch her previous owner we kept handling to a minimum and took pictures of her through a feral cat den. She did allow me to scan for a microchip but kept facing towards the back of her carrier.

11/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Shadow’s previous owner says that she is a shy cat and has not been around any kids. During the time she had her, Rose (the former owner) said that Shadow did not play with anyone and mostly hid. Reaction to assessor: Shadow looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Shadow comes out the den wandering her environment, alert with eyes wide open and tail tucked. Reaction to touch: Shadow accepts a brief touch on the head, but becomes agitated with the touch then swats, hisses and growls at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Shadow tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
