Lying down near the front of the kennel. Pupils dilated, hisses upon approach. Slowly shifts away when the door opens. Seems unsure at first, but he sniffs hand and accepts gentle petting on his head. Wasn’t interested in tuna or hard treats. Needs more time to adjust.

Shadow is friendly, affectionate, and mellow and loves to climb. Shadow is litter box trained bu has been uses the bath room outside of the litter box for a few months. He has a uncovered box with clumping litter.

Upon intake Shadow relaxed and allowed collaring.

Observed Behavior – very sweet. Did not like medical handling and growled-used towel. Did well for all medical handling and procedures

Oral Exam: adult dentition with moderate to severe dental disease, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, Grade 3/6 HM, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FS (spay scar noted on ventrum), no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, diffuse scabby dermatitis with thinning haircoat especially over dorsum and flanks
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

Dermatitis r/o FAD vs other allergy

Gave convenia 8mg/kg SQ once
Gave gabapentin 100mg PO once
