05/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Serge and at the time he was curled up in litter box. Serge lip licks and leans away from contact. He sniffs hand and tolerates petting. Serge warms up and slowly leans in for rubs. He head butts and rolls around. Reaction to assessor: Serge does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Serge does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Serge remains motionless Reaction to touch: Serge allows petting all over with a slow and gentle approach Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience Serge was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying timid behavior. Serge does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
