SEBASTIAN – A1063477
Safe - 2-2-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: HVARS Please honor your pledges: http://www.hvars.org/
*** SAFE 02/02/16 ***SWEETHEART SEBASTIAN NEEDS NEW FUREVER FRIEND! Aww, just look at that face! How can anyone resist precious three year old Sebastian? This fab fella sadly lost his home with his feline friend, TOMMY – A1063407 (status unknown) when their former owner was evicted. and now poor, sweet Sebastian will pay the ultimate price for his former owner’s dire circumstances. Sebastian is set to become another sad ACC stat when tomorrow afternoon rolls around UNLESS his rescue angel steps forward. Sebastian is a calm, gentle and low maintenance guy who just needs a warm and quiet home. He is a pro headbutter but seems stressed at the shelter (who wouldn’t be?) So it’s recommended that sweet Sebastian go to an experienced cat owner’s residence. We know this guy will be a super mush when he feels safe and sound. Please don’t let him be a victim of sad circumstances. Won’t you please open up your heart and home to this good guy? Transportation is available. Email our help desk and we will lead you through the process. Sebastian only has tonight. We are his only hope. Don’t let him down!!!

We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 01/27/16 Sebastian was brought in without any behavioral information or tendencies in his previous home. The finder reports he does not like being picked up and will run away. The enrichment facilitator says he has been displaying fearful behavior during his stay in the care center. He has a tense body and will whip around when touched on his back, but he will slowly lean forward for cheek rubs. Reaction to Assessor: Sebastian was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sebastian slow blinks, and then he put his head down on his paws and lip licks. Reaction to cage door opening: Sebastian was soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Sebastian was hesitant, but sniffs the assessor’s hand. He allows petting on his head, but flinches and twitches when touched on his back. His ears tilt sideways and he will shift away, but he will continue to allow gentle petting on his head. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Sebastian tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
