09/15/16 20:17 BASIC INFORMATION Scrappy is a 3 year old, brown tabby DSH cat. Scrappy was rescued as a kitten on the street. The owner is surrendering scrappy due to personal problem. Scrappy has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Scrappy been introduced of various ages. She keeps to herself but slowly approach to sniff. She allows being petted for a few. Scrappy is shy around stranger for a few but she slowly warms up and enjoys being petted. Around the adults in the home she is affectionate and mellow. Scrappy has never lived with dogs or cats. BEHAVIOR She is fearful and try to run when getting bath and having her nails trimmed. But she goes into her carrier and enjoys having her coat brushed. She has never had a bite or scratch history. She always uses her hooded litter box in the corner of the living room. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Scrappy is described as shy, fearful and affectionate. When the owners come home she follows them around and solicit attention. Her favorite toys are string, wands and cat nip toys. She is an indoor cat and enjoys looking out the window. She sleeps in her cat bed by the living room. Her favorite cat food is pate 2 cans a day. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Scrappy during intake was fearful coming out the carrier. But she slowly came out and allowed being collard, scanned and photographed.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Scrappy lived previously with adults, around whom she was affectionate. She is initially shy around strangers but warms up quickly. She was introduced to children of different ages and approached them slowly. She has not been exposed to dogs or other cats. She is described as shy, fearful, and affectionate. She was a bit timid at intake but allowed all handling and restraint during her initial medical examination without issue. During her behavior evaluation Scrappy was social and appreciated cheek scratches. Reaction to assessor: Scrappy is resting at the back of her cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains soft. Reaction to touch: Scrappy remains at the back of her cage but allows the assessor to pet her on the head and body. She leans in for cheek scratches. Placement determination: Average Scrappy interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. She has no known history of behavioral problems, though she should be given time to warm up to new people and new situations at her own pace. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
