SAFE 4/12/18 Beginner Girl Sassy is ready to head home and snuggle up @MACC. Sassy is a roughly 11 year old cat whom was adopted from ACC and was kept in the same home for about 7 years. Unfortunately due to having daily litter box accidents she was unable to be kept. Sassy is described to have daily litter box accidents that have been happening for the past 3-4 months. she was not taken to the vet for this problem.

Curled up at back of cubby, tense, eyes dilated. Shifted back when door opened, seemed anxious. Allowed touch, lowered head, slowly leaned into pets, extended neck for throat rubs. Sniffed treats, but didn’t eat. Curled up and appeared to doze off after door closed.

Moved to medical. Curled up resting on bedding, soft eyes and body. Lay in place when door opened, leaned into pets, extended neck for throat scratches.

Sassy is described as friendly, affectionate, shy and mellow. She enjoys playing with balls and strings, was being free fed Friskies dry food, had a hooded litter box with clumping litter and a scratching post made of carpet and rough rope.
Behavior Notes:
Upon intake Sassy allowed all handling. She would headbutt the carrier and allowed being lifted out of the carrier and into a kennel. She allowed the counselor to collar her and posed semi-still for a picture because she just wanted to be petted. she allowed being placed in a carrier as well.
