Intake Date 03/25/2017, From NY 11421, DueOut Date 03/27/2017, I came in with Group/Litter #K17-092167.
ENRICHMENT:

Hesitant of contact, but will get up to interact with me when coaxed. Sniffs around in kennel and accepts all petting, leaning in and rubbing head on me. Opens up and appeared curious, investigative. Meows when petting stops and continues to rub against the cage door.
MEDICAL:
03/26/17
Nasal discharge noted on rounds.
S/O: QAR. Eating small amounts.
EENT: Mod. mucopurulent nasal discharge, congestion.
H/L: Lungs clear, no dyspnea.
A: URI.
P: Move to iso. Swab for PCR testing.
Rx Doxycycline 50 mg/ml. 0.7 ml PO q 24 hours x 10 days.
Excellent prognosis.

Subjective purring, enjoys being pet. became upset during handling for vaccines/bloods
rear end covered in loose stool, short tail
Observed Behavior – doesn’t like handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen – none
Evidence of Trauma seen – none
Objective
T = P = 220 R =30 BCS 4/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: gingivits, no gingival recession
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: no masses palpated, but doesn’t like palpation
U/G: clip fur-no spay scar seen
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dry hair coat, rear end covered in diarrhea
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:diarrhea ddx:intestinal parasites, dietary indiscretion, viral
Medical Behavior Status yellow
Medical Status ok for adoption
Asilomar Status 2NC
