Oral Exam: moderate staining

Abdomen: WNL
Musculoskeletal: overweight but muscle wasted, BCS 6/9
Mentation: QAR, dehydrated
Preliminary Assessment: geriatric with possible DM
Plan: DVM intake, per oncall give 1 unit prozinc and monitor food intake, gave 100ml LRS SQF, give ectoparasite preventative when dry

Resting at back, alert, eyes a little dilated, age related? Lay in place when door opened, minor lip licking. Allowed, slightly leaned into pets, then turned around and came forward when given treats. Didn’t eat, but posture softened, leaned more enthusiastically into pets, purred!
