Subjective: BARH, hunched, but allows all handling

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: clean adult dentition
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Intact male, two scrotal testicles
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, LF lameness – severely swollen LF limb with pitting edema from mid femur extending distally. Skin deep pink/purple under fur, LF paw bleeding, but unable to identify specific wounds without clipping, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Externally normal
Assessment:
1. Pitting edema LFL
2. Bleeding from LF paw
Prognosis: Good pending diagnostics and treatmemt
Plan: Simbadol 0.2mg/kg SQ and Convenia 8mg/kg SQ tonight. Recommend xrays, clip and clean limb to assess wounds tomorrow.
