I am a female gray and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/22/2016 from NY 11434, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/27/2016 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 4 NC – SEVERE CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is AVERAGE, Weight 4.4 LBS.
11/27/16 Recheck – left hip luxation, multiple wounds on hind feet S/O: QARH. Excellent appetite. Resistant to handling but appears relatively comfortable – mobile but prefers to be recumbent; does not bear weight on LHL EENT: Nuclear sclerosis ou, no ocular or nasal discharge M/S: Limited mobility due to hip dislocation/injury. INTEG: Wounds appear stable, granulation tissue forming. A: ~12 yo FS DSH L. hip luxation with multiple open wounds on hind paws – static Underweight P: Continue current treatment plan. Reco NH placement asap for wound management and hip stabilization. Prognosis fair – guarded.

11/22/16 09:09 Sal is a gray/white DSH cat found as a stray and brought into QAC, Upon intake cat appeared weak and lethargic, also has a possible fracture to his left hind leg. Allowed all handling and did show intrest in softy food.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sally was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Sally was lying down on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sally makes eye contact with the assessor, rolls over on her side and remains calm. Reaction to cage door opening: Sally is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Sally sniffs the assessor’s hand, leans in for rubs and appreciates attention. She shifts her weight, allows petting all over and gives soft head butts when rubbed on her head. Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Behavior Determination: Average Sally interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

11/22/16 Transfer from Queens shelter – suspect cat was hit by a car. Microchip scan neg. O: QAR. mm=pink, sl. tacky, CRT<2 s. Calm, a little shy, allows all handling. Ate all food that was in carrier. ORAL: Mild to mod. calculus, gingivitis. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. H/L: Lungs clear. No murmurs/arrhythmias. HR=180, RR=16. ABD/UG: Female. Did not assess for spay scar due to pain in rear. Abd palpation NSF. MS: Prefers to remain recumbent. Reluctant to walk when held up – non-weight bearing left hind. Mild swelling left metacarpus, painful on palpation. Swelling and pain left hip region; unable to fully palpate due to pain. No palpable fractures in femur/tibia. INTEG: Multiple open wounds: Dorsolateral Left metatarus – full thickness skin/SQ wound with tendon and bone exposed along 5th metatarsus. Caudal left tarsus – small full thickness skin wound. Right lateral tarsus – full thickness skin/SQ with possible bone exposed. Fleas, flea dirt. Decreased skin turgor. Thin body condition. A: Stable condition. Mild dehydration 5-7%. Multiple open wounds, with possible fracture left metatarsus, fracture and/or luxation left hip or pelvis. Female, age est 8 years. P: Buprenorphine S/R 0.07 ml SQ. Convenia 0.2 ml SQ. Once more comfortable, sedate and radiograph pelvis and hind limbs, re-evaluate wounds more thoroughly and clean as needed. Fair to good prognosis.
