Salan was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owner, but we have no information on her behavior in her previous home. Sherrie was a bit timid during her initial medical examination, but otherwise has been social and easy to handle since intake. She was highly interested in interacting with the assessor during her behavior evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Salan is at the front of the cage, vocalizing, when the assessor approaches. Reaction to cage door opening: Salan remains at the front, body soft. Reaction to touch: Salan rubs her face and body on the assessor’s hand. She allows all petting. Placement determination: Average Salan interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
