I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/27/2016 from NY 10306, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/27/16 12:20 Finder stated that Sacramento seemed relaxed in the trap and finder was even able to pet Sacramento on the face and back through the trap without any issues. Behavior during intake: Sacramento was at the back of the trap hissing and spitting. I was able to transfer from trap to den without any issues. When I approached the den, Sacramento kept spitting and growling therefore I was not able to scan for a mc, or collar.

Sacramento came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Sacramento was at the back of the trap hissing and spitting. Reaction to assessor: Sacramento hisses at the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sacramento continues to hiss and growl. Reaction to cage door opening: Sacramento retreats. Reaction to touch: Sacramento is hissing, growling and swatting at the assessor. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Sacramento appears very fearful of the assessor and does not allow handling. Sacramento is exhibiting behavior suited to New Hope Partners.
