10/21/16 17:44 Basic information Ruzy is an approximate 3 year old domestic short hair who is being surrendered as a stray. Finder stated she has been feeding this cat outside for over two years. She was ordered by the city to remove all the cats she feeds. Finder she never handled this cat. Behavior during Intake Ruzy came in inside of a trap. Ruzy hissed, spit, and swatted. I did not handle Ruzy.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ruzy looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Ruzy remains stiff in place, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Ruzy does not allow then hisses and strikes at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Ruzy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
