**SAFE 07/18/16** EXQUISITE and INJURED! How handsome is ROUGE?! This remarkable 12-year-old boy was taken to the ACC as a stray, already neutered and suffering from some painful stuff on his face. This guy earned a nice EXPERIENCE rating and needs someone in his corner, tonight! His is the face you’ll remember every time you look away from this page; his is the thread you’ll come obsessively back to again and again, hoping for good news. Want to know where good news comes from? It comes from YOU when you foster/adopt, it comes from YOUR EFFORTS when you pledge and share. No matter what else you have scheduled for tonight, make sure to advocate widely for ROUGE so he can be saved!

07/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rouge does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Rouge does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Rouge remains motionless Reaction to touch: Rouge allows petting and attention with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Rouge id tolerant of this type of handling but tense Behavior Determination: Experience Rouge was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
