***SAFE 09/04/16*** ROSE IS A 2 YEAR OLD FLOWER WHO WAS DUMPED BY HER OWNER FOR NO TIME!! Seriously folks, how much time do cats need? These lame excuses are getting ridiculous. ROSE is only 2 years old and was found by her owner as a stray – and lived most of her short life with him. She was said to be friendly and affectionate and good with children of all ages. Now that ROSE is at the shelter, she is stressed – gee what a surprise, but got an EXPERIENCE rating. This young tabby needs you to step up tonight so she can live and find a furever home. Please don’t let the ACC get away with killing more adoptable cats. Please rescue ROSE and she will bloom into a wonderful kitty companion for you!!

08/27/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Rose is friendly around strangers and has had experience with children from ages 1 to 17. She was relaxed and affectionate with them and she also is gentle when around adults. Rose has spent time with small breed dogs and was respectful of them. At times she often scratches furniture in the home and will also hide in fear. She isn’t bothered being picked up, held or being placed in a carrier. Her owner describes her as being affectionate, independent and confident with a medium activity level. When home she will be in her favorite spot or enjoy playing with her toys balls, strings, laser pointer or wand toys. Reaction to assessor: Rose was curled up on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Rose is alert and has wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Rose lip licks and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Rose sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over her body. She warms up to contact, leans in for cheek rubs and watches the assessor when touched along her back. Her body is a bit tense but she appreciates attention and rolls over on her side. Reaction to being picked up: Rose growls and tried to bite when attempting to pick her up. Behavior Determination: Experience Rose may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents and recommend any future home with children conduct a thorough interaction.
