**SAFE 07/05/16** Rose’s life so far has been one full of thorns being a stray without anyone to care for him. He is now at the ACC waiting to die unless someone from his Urgent family decides that he is a cat that can fit into their life. He is very fearful and has no one to turn to because the ACC isn’t known for having sympathy for any animal. There was no intake exam. They just took him from their trap to her cage. Now he sits cowering in fear. Please show this little Rose some love and adopt or rescue this 2 year old tabby tonight.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Rose came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Rose was not handled. Reaction to assessor: Rose is hiding in his den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Rose remains hidden. Reaction to cage door opening: Rose moves to the back of his den. Reaction to touch: Rose moves away to avoid touch, but allows some soft petting. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Rose does not approach the assessor, appears to be fearful and allows limited handling. Rose is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children. 7/1 update: Rose does not seem to be thriving in the care center and continues to avoid human interaction, allowing only minimal handling. It is in her best interest to leave the current environment and move into a stable home quickly.
