Roe was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder found him wandering around the street and was able to bring him to the care center. He had a tense and stiff body upon intake, but he allowed handling. He was also easy to handle during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Roe was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Roe starts to eat, but momentarily pauses and leans his cheek onto his food tray. Reaction to cage door opening: Roe remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Roe was a bit hesitant and retreats to the back, but he leans into petting, begins to purr, and rolls over. Reaction to being picked up: Roe remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Roe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
