Reaction to assessor: Rita comes to the front of the cage soliciting attention When spoken quietly: Rita stays at front and continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Rita remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Rita tries to walk out of the cage but still allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Rita is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average Rita was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying calm behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Rita is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
