09/23/16 19:53 Basic information Ringo is a 2 year old neutered Black and white DSH with no known medical conditions Socialization Ringo has not lived with any children, dogs or other cats and has not interacted with them. Around strangers Ringo will be shy for a few minutes but warms up quickly. Ringo does warm up to men faster than women. When playing with adult s Ringo plays gently with adults. Behavior During car rides Ringo will quiet and relaxed. Ringo has never been given a bathe or had his nails trimmed. Ringo isn’t bothered when being brushed or picked up and held. Ringo also Isnt bothered when being placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. For the new family to know Ringo was described as shy and independent with medium activity level. Ringo likes to play with strings and paper. When home with Ringo he likes to be in the same room as you and lying next to you. Ringo eats 9 lives or Friskies dry food. Ringo is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Ringo doesn’t have a scratching post but likes to scratch on the wicker laundry basket. Behavior during intake. Ringo was relaxed and quiet during intake. He was curious when out of his carrier and allowed to be scanned and collared with a loose body.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Ringo has never lived with children or other cats and dogs. He is shy around strangers and will take a few moments to warm up to them. Ringo is gentle and plays with adults. He doesn’t mind having his coat brushes and is okay being picked up or being placed in a carrier. His owner describes him as shy and independent with a medium activity level. He likes to play with string and paper and he is litter box trained. Reaction to assessor: Ringo was relaxed on his blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ringo stretches his body then comes forward and lightly rubs up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Ringo is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Ringo sniffs the assessor’s hand then rubs up and allows petting all over his body. He appreciates attention, lightly head butts and chirps with his tail up. Reaction to being picked up: Ringo is a bit tense on pick up but quickly relaxes and leans in for rubs in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Beginner Ringo interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
