09/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Riley was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Riley is lowered inside the litter box and has wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Riley slowly backs away and lip licks when spoken to softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Riley remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Riley retreats and hisses when the assessor extends his hand out. She has a tense body and tolerates petting but tries to move away and leave the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Riley tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
