I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/13/2017 from NY 10459, owner surrender reason stated was OWN EVICT. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-107649.

Regal A1121817 is at risk due to behavior. Regal displays fearful behavior when approached for interaction and does not appear to be thriving in the stressful shelter environment. He focuses on people and attempts to flee to avoid contact, but he does tolerate gentle petting with a slow approach. Although he allows gentle petting, he remains extremely tense and appears very uncomfortable.

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Regal tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home who understands this cat may need time to warm up to his new home and family at his own pace.
