SAFE 8/30/18 **NEW PHOTO** RETURN – Poor Ramses was adopted from the ACC last year and was surrendered because he has consistent diarrhea which will require a special diet. Please help this sweet boy today. He deserves a family who will help address this issue and not give up on him.

Ramses is not bothered when someone trims his nails, brushes his coat and when someone picks him up and holds him. Owner had never tried to bathe Ramses so behavior is unknown. He is afraid when someone tries to put him into a carrier and will try to run away.

Ramses is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and quiet. He has a medium activity level and likes to play with stuffed animals. Ramses was kept indoors only and is not litter box trained. He would urinate in the litter box but would defecate outside of the litter box daily. He used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter in the home. He was fed both wet and dry food brand Purina. Owner had a scratching post in the home for Ramses made of carpet but stated that he would not scratch on it. He also would not scratch on any furniture.

Reaction when softly spoken to:
Ramses remained in the litter box and appeared tense. He focuses on the assessor’s hand.

Ramses becomes stiff and alert, and stood in the corner of the litter box. His ears were pointed forward.
Reaction to touch:
Ramses sniffed the assessor’s hand and remained in place when petted. He was tense when pet, but did not move away to avoid contact, he remained curled up with his tail tucked around his body.
