RAJHEEM WAS FRIENDLY WITH CHILDREN, AND THE DOG THAT LIVED IN THE HOME. HE IS PLAYFUL WITH THEM AND A WONDERFUL CAT – HE IS AVERAGE RATED. 06/24/17 16:08 BASIC INFORMATION: Rajheem is a calico DSH that is 10 years old. The owner had Rajheem as a kitten. The owner is surrendering Rajheem due to moving to a place that does not allow any pets. Rajheem has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION: Rajheem is friendly with strangers. She approaches and leans to rub in. Rajheem approaches children ages 6 and 7 year old. She rubs on them and enjoys being petted. Rajheem has lived with one male dog and one female cat. They all engage in play and lived in harmony. BEHAVIOR: Rajheem has never has a bite or scratch history. Rajheem has never received a bath, had her nails trimmed or has had her coat brushed. She always used her open litter box. She has a scratching post made out of carpet and rough rope. FOR NEW FAMILIES: Rajheem has been described as mellow, relaxed and independent. Rajheem enjoys looking out the window and sun bathing. She sometimes play chase with the other house cat. She does not care much for cat toys. Her favorite cat food is dry Purina dog food. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Rajheem during intake she was relaxed and mellow. She enjoyed being petted, collard, scanned and photographed.

Other notes: She enjoys looking out the window and sun bathing. She doesn’t really play with toys. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Nervous but allowed full exam ENRICHMENT NOTES: 06/25/17 Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body. She allows petting along her head and body while remaining relaxed and making eye contact with soft eyes. Doing well after first day! Sprayed feliway. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Rajheem was lying low and hiding behind her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Rajheem lifts her head up and makes eye contact with soft eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Rajheem remains calm. Reaction to touch: Rajheem seems a little hesitant but leans forward to sniff the assessor’s hand. She perks up and raises her rear when pet along her body. After a few soft pets she rolls around, nuzzles against the assessor’s hand and gives the assessor soft head butts. Reaction to being picked up: Rajheem was a bit tense when picked up, then got antsy and leaped away. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Affectionate, Sweet BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Rajheem interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
