Medical Summary 12/05/16 Check cat hit by car. Microchip scan neg. O: QAR. mm=bright pink. moist, CRT<2 s. Painful and fearful, allows all handling. ORAL: Mod to severe calculus, gingivitis, gingival recession. EENT: Left ear tipped. No oculonasal discharge. H/L: HR=220, RR=44, Lungs clear, no murmurs. ABD/UG: Neutered male. Abd palpation WNL. MS: Non-ambulatory. Markedly displaced distal right femoral fracture – proximal segment is deviated cranially and end is palpable at right flank. Tail is limp, no obvious reaction to tail pinch. INTEG: Full, dirty haircoat with debris stuck to fur over tail and ventrum. No open wounds found. A: Age est 11 years. Severe dental/periodontal disease. Right femur fracture. Limp tail – r/o spinal injury, spinal fracture, pelvic fracture. P: Buprenorphine S/R 0.15 ml SQ. Take radiographs when less painful. Fair prognosis depending on extent of underlying injuries and neurologic impairment. Monitor urination/defecation, appetite, and overall condition while at BACC. Rec. placement.
