RADICCHIO – A1083698
Safe - 8-18-2016 Manhattan
***SAFE 08/18/16*** RADICCHIO and HOUSEMATES, EGGPLANT AND GRAPE (BOTH NOT LISTED TONIGHT, BUT STILL IN NEED) were brought in from a HOARDER. This 3 year old has a wound on his head, and superficial wounds that are not infected and healing nicely. He’s already NEUTERED, so he’s ready to go if you’ll just have him. EXPERIENCE is key, and taking along with RADICCHIO, his housemates, would be really GREAT! The trio would pay you back in snuggles and kisses and for you, saving their lives would be priceless!

08/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Radicchio was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in a home environment. He allowed handling upon intake and during his initial medical exam, although he was tense and nervous. Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Reaction to assessor: Radicchio was calm and relaxed, lying down when approached. Reaction when softly spoken to: Raddicchio looks at the assessor with squinty eyes and blinks softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Raddicchio remains motionless, but lip licks. Reaction to touch: Raddicchio lowers his head and is immobile when touched. His ears tilt slightly sideways, but he allows petting on his head and body and closes his eyes. His body is a bit tense, but no further reaction was displayed. Behavior Determination: Experience Raddicchio tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
