Safe - 4-8-2018 Manhattan
SAFE 4/8/18 RA is a sweet kitty that was surrendered with several other kitties from the same household. There is nothing in his medical notes that indicates why the swollen cheek but it would be best to have seen by a vet asap. He currently came down with a URI.

Medical: Estimated age: 3yr Subjective: BAR. Nervous and tense, some meowing. Restrained with towel and able to examine. No growling or hissing. Objective P = wnl R = wnl BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes dried crusty brown discharge along medial canthi, ears moderate amount of black debris with some irritation, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: mild staining, unable to a get full visual due to behavior PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: MI, 2 testicles, smooth, symmetrical MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: normal externally Assessment intact male earmites Prognosis: good ivermectin given during LVT intake
Behavior: 3/25 Resting on bedding, soft eyes and body. Stood when spoken to, came to the front, started rubbing against the bars. Stayed at the front when door opened, head-butted treats out of my hand, leaned and arched enthusiastically into pets, purred, kneaded in place. Resumed rubbing against the bars after door closed. 3/26 Resting on bedding, soft eyes and body. Stretched and came to the front when spoken to. Stayed at the front when door opened, leaned and arched enthusiastically into pets, purred loudly, started to roll over. Rubbed against the bars after door closed.
3/27 Resting in middle of cage, soft eyes and body. Stretched and came to the front on approach. Head-butted treats out of my hand, leaned and arched into pets, purred, marched in place. 3/28 Came to the front on approach, soft eyes and body, started rubbing against and reaching through the bars. Stayed in place when door opened, head-butted, leaned and arched enthusiastically into pets, purred. Resumed rubbing against and reaching through the bars after door closed.
3/29 Diagnosed with URI, moved to iso. Resting behind litter box, eyes dilated but soft gaze and posture. Started to roll over when door opened, then stood, leaned and arched into pets, lifted rear for butt scratches, purred.
