GONE 3/6/18 QUAN was brought to the shelter in rough shape. He was purring and allowed all handling. QUAN has a URI and is anemic and very dehydrated. He has several other conditions which need immediate vet care. Please help this poor boy today.

MM light pink and dry. Delayed skin turgor. Severely sunken eyes OU. 10% dehydrated
EENT: Mucopurulent dc and raised TEL OU. Dried black/brown dc completely covering both nares. Ears clear. Slightly icteric inner pinnae.
Oral Exam: Thick dry salivary secretions. Mild staining. Unable to open mouth.
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic, purring.
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated. Ropey intestines
U/G: MN
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted. Poor dirty malodorous healthy hair coat
CNS: dull/depressed, minimally responsive

cbc/chem
place IVC
70mL LRS shock bolus followed by LRS @ 15mL/hr (120ml/kg/day). Decrease to 10ml/hr (~ 80ml/kg/day) at the end of the day.
start doxycycline 0.7mL PO SID x 10 days
start erythromycin OU BID x 10 days
start simbadol 0.4mL SQ x 3 days
nebulization BID x 5 days
Repeat cbc/chem tomorrow
Concerned that rehydrating p will worsen an already significant anemia. If persistent/worsening anemia, blood transfusion will likely be needed, and p will need to be transferred vs humane euthanasia
