Hello, my name is Pumpkin Spice. My animal id is #15655. I am a desexed female brown tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 08-Dec-2017.
Pumpkin Spice is at risk for medical reasons, she is FeLV+. Behaviorally, we have no concerns for Pumpkin Spice whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: Adult, estimated 1-2 years Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned negative on intake – MC placed during LVT intake History : Stray, no health hx available Subjective: Alert, meows, walks out of carrier Observed Behavior – Allows full exam. Yowls with blood draw. Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female, presumed intact MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally FeLV/FIV test – positive for FeLV Assessment: FeLV Prognosis: Good. FeLV-positive cats can live for many years with no clinical signs. They may be more prone to cancer and to infections. At some point they may become clinically ill but there is no telling when that will occur. Plan: Spay, adopt SURGERY: Okay for surgery 1088
Post op recheck BAR, no c/s/v/d, no URI signs, incision CDI, comfortable.
Pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, and surgery performed by ASPCA. Green linear tattoo placed lateral to incision. Start 0.42 cc simbadol 1.8 mg/ml sid x 3 days and 0.32 cc Robenacoxib 20 mg/ml sid x 3 days as pain management.

Basic Information:: Police was able to carry the cat into the shelter. Police sate cat is very friendly
KNOWN HISTORY:: Pumpkin Spice was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on their behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. Her finders was able to carry her straight to the care center and report she’s very friendly.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – Allows full exam. Yowls with blood draw.
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Pumpkin Spice was lying down in her cubby, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Pumpkin Spice blinks softly at the assessor and remains in place.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Pumpkin Spice’s eyes widen, but she remains calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:: Pumpkin Spice sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts lightly. She leans in for petting, rubs against cage furnishings, and begins to purr.
Reaction to being picked up:: Pumpkin Spice is a bit tense during pick up, but allows handling.
