***SAFE 06/16/16*** HARD TIMES FOR THIS DISTINGUISHED SENIOR…..PUMPKIN is a NEUTERED, 15 year young gent who would like a nice cushy retirement home now……How anyone could have left this darling orange man on the street and let him get in this condition is beyond us….While PUMPKIN was scared coming in, he relaxed and showed that he really wanted love and attention, probably things he hadn’t gotten in a long, long time…..PUMPKIN needs a good geriatric assessment by a competent vet. AND HE NEEDS A HOME WHERE HE IS CHERISHED!!! If you can provide those, APPLY to FOSTER or ADOPT NOW!! [email protected] can assist! SAVE A SENIOR TONIGHT!!

06/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Pumpkin was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was tense and tried to flee upon intake. He became fractious when attempting to place him back into a carrier, but was sweet and purring during his initial medical exam. He allowed easy handling and appeared to like attention. Reaction to assessor: Pumpkin was calm and relaxed, lying down by the back. Reaction when softly spoken to: Pumpkin comes to the front, meows, and rubs against the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Pumpkin remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Pumpkin head-butts right away and begins to purr and knead. Reaction to pick up: Pumpkin remains calm and purrs when held. Placement Determination: Beginner Pumpkin interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
