11/05/16 20:12 Basic Information Princess is an approximate 3 year old female domestic short hair. She is being surrendered because owner is allergic to her. Owner adopted her from a family member around three months ago. Owner stated she has no medical issues but has never seen a vet. Socialization Princess is friendly around strangers. She lived with kids’ ages 2, 3 and 11. She was tolerant of the kids. Owner stated she did not play at all. Owner stated he hardly ever seen her. He only saw her when it was time to eat. She has not lived or spent time with cats. She lived with a German Sheppard; they were tolerant of each other. She has never bitten a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated she has no behavior issues and was relaxed during the car ride to our shelter. Owner has never trimmed her nails or bathed her. Owner stated she tolerated all kinds of handling. For a New Family to Know Princess is described as friendly and mellow with a medium activity level. Owner liked that she catches mice all the time. When home Princess rarely seeks attention. Owner stated she has no toys. She was kept indoors only and slept anywhere. Owner few her dry Purina cat food. He filled a bowl once a day. She uses an uncovered cat litter box with clumping style litter in it. She would scratch on furniture made out of leather and a wood wall. Behavior during Intake Princess tolerated all handling. No signs of aggression were displayed.

As per previous owner, Princess is friendly around strangers. She lived with kids’ ages 2, 3 and 11. She was tolerant of the kids. Owner stated she did not play at all. Owner stated he hardly ever saw her. He only saw her when it was time to eat. She has not lived or spent time with cats. She lived with a German Shepard and they were tolerant of each other. She has never bitten a person or animal. Reaction to assessor: Princess is asleep on approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Princess continues to sleep. Reaction to cage door opening: Princess wakes up, and remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Princess solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hands, purring, and rolling over. Reaction to being picked up: Princess sits comfortably in the assessor’s arms and looks around. Behavior Determination: Average Princess interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
