***SAFE 12/10/16***ANOTHER CHANCE FOR PURRFECT PRINCE…11 YR OLD SENIOR BOY DUMPED WHEN OWNER BECAME ILL – NEUTERED AND READY TO HAVE A NEW HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! A volunteer writes: Prince is exhibit A for why older cats are such awesome companions. This gentleman is relaxed and positive about everything, taking the little things that might bother young cats and kittens in stride. You’ll never find him running around in a frenzy knocking over his water dish; he doesn’t meow and cry if he’s not the center of attention. Prince likes to watch the action, receive pettings and scratches, and interact with people-but he also seems totally fine with hanging back and taking it easy. He knows his manners too; Prince did very well on his behavior test, and he’d be a perfect fit in just about any home, even one with kids. If you love mellow yellow felines who won’t keep you up all night desperate for more playtime, then you must meet Prince today!

11/20/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/20/16 17:08 Prince was described to be shy by previous owners. He is an 11 year old cat who lived his entire life with his previous owner, and was surrendered because one of his elderly owners died and the other was blind and could not take care of him on her own. During intake, Prince was shy to come out of his carrier. When taken out, he remained very still but allowed collaring and petting. He attempted to remain on the table when picked up, but ultimately allowed for it and allowed to be placed back in his carrier. Prince would hide whenever children would visit his house, and he has never lived with another animal. Prince is completely litter box trained. He will occassionally scratch furniture, but has never had a scratching post to redirect on. He is calm in the car. He has never had a bath, had his nails trimmed, or been brushed. Prince will allow being held. He was described to have a low activity level and has been indoors only. He loved to follow his previous owners around the house. Previous owners stated that he will only eat “top shelf cat food” and “ice water”. He also expects greenies treats every day.
