Progress exam-RHL paralysis
History: stray intake 12/30-started on simbadol and given praziquantel for tapeworms. Suspect HL paralysis.
Subjective: BARH. No interest in food. No c/s/v/d. Absent anal tone, medium sized soft bladder. Empty litter box.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: mixed adult and kitten dentition; broken upper canines
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, bladder medium sized and soft
U/G: FI, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: ambulatory x3, NWB RHL, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat, wet around perineum
CNS: Mentation appropriate — paralyzed RHL, right hindlimb no reflex or deep pain, left hindlimb relexes intact — tail tone and anal tone are absent
Assessment:
Right femoral neck fracture
Right acetabular fracture
Possible Sacral nerve damage +/- hip fracture
Prognosis: fair-will need surgical repair
Plan:
Continue simbadol until 1/5
Used telazol 0.05ml IM sedation for radiographs
2 view pelvic and HL radiographs-complete closed fracture of the right acetabulum and right femoral neck
May need RHL amputation
Express bladder BID
Rec surgical repair of pelvic and femoral fractures +/- FHO
UA-hematuria, bilirubinuria +++, protein 500, glucose 50, pH 6, USC 1.030

Oral Exam: redness on lower mandible gumline (trauma) — broken upper right canine
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Intact female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
GI: tapeworms present in stool
CNS: Mentation appropriate – weakness in hindlimbs — right hindlimb no reflex, left hindlimb relexes intact — tail tone and anal tone are absent
Assessment: Trauma suspected. Sacral nerve damage +/- hip fracture.
Prognosis: fair (poor if severe nerve damage)
Plan: Provided 0.3 ml praziquantel IM and 0.3 ml simbadol SQ.
Continued pain control (0.3 ml simbadol SQ q24 for 7 days).
Xrays ordered to further assess hindlimbs and pelvis injuries.
SURGERY: waived from surgery due to severity of medical condition
