04/25/17:

Sitting crouched in back of kennel with ears flattened, facing forward. Makes eye contact when spoken to, then glances away. Breathing accelerates as I approach and he backs away when I attempt to pet him with the bear-claw, ears flattening more as he lowers his body. Remains low bodied and ears flatten all the way down as bear-claw strokes him along the head and back. Needs more time to adjust. Sprayed feliway.

04/26/17:

Went to Glendale for surgery

04/27/17:

Squished inside his litter box, feint sleeping. Doesn’t really react when I call his name. Shifts weight and leans away when the door opens, keeps tail wrapped at his side. Slowly gets up to move away, freezes when I touched him on his head. Seems nervous, completely immobile when touched along his back. After a couple minutes he starts to loosen up and leans against my hand when rubbed on his cheeks. Tense when picked up, stays curled up. Allowed handling.
