Medical Summary 8/28/16 Check wound O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 sec. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. Abd: Pot-bellied. Palpation WNL. Integ/MS: Left flank/hip region – 1.5 cm diam. open wound, down to muscle. Granulation tissue evident and edges of wound are scrring, not fresh. No bleeding. Fur around wound is wet. Sensitive on palpation. Mod. lameness L. hind but will bear weight. No palpable fractures. A: Old wound and/or ruptured abscess, evidence that kitten has been licking area. P: Placed soft e-collar. Flushed wound with LRS. Start Clavamox 0.25 ml PO BID x 10 days. Clean wound q 24 hours with chlorhexidene x 5 days. Recheck wound 5 days. Prognosis good. FVRCP, Ponazuril, Panacur, Frontline.
