11/23/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/23/16 12:53 BASIC INFO PJ is an 11 year old female DSH cat. Her owner got her as a stray when she was a kitten and surrendered her because she’s moving to a home that doesn’t allow pets. PJ has hairloss and scabs on her neck and back. SOCIALIZATION PJ is shy with new people but becomes friendly and affectionate within 1-2 days. She lived with an adult woman. She lived with children 12 years and older, but they’ve all moved out. PJ was relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with them. She plays gently with people. Another female cat visited. PJ avoided her and hissed if approached. PJ lived with a large dog and was relaxed, affectionate, and playful with her. She hasn’t bit anyone. BEHAVIOR PJ cries in the car. She enjoys being picked up and held. She had her nails trimmed by a vet. She doesn’t mind when someone brushes her or wakes her up. She struggles when put in a carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW PJ’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, mellow, quiet, and medium energy. She follows people and sits in their laps. She plays with string and wand toys. She lived inside and slept on her cat bed or with her owner. She ate dry Friskies and wet Fancy Feast foods. She’s littertrained, pottied in uncovered and hooded litterboxes with clumping litter, and didn’t have accidents. She scratched a wooden scratching post and scratched the doorframe when she didn’t have a post. INTAKE PJ was a little tense as she walked around and looked around while I pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, photographed her, picked her up, and placed her in a carrier. She didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
