04/09/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/09/17 20:10 Counselor was able to scruff Pinky and take her out of the plastic container (with no air holes) that the police brought her in, and transfer her into the carrier. She had a very stiff body. She did not hiss. She had very dilated pupils and was breathing very fast and hiding in the corner of her carrier with her head on the floor. She later on grew anxious and when the counselor was passing by the carrier and tried to take a picture Pinky hissed and swatted at the counselor. Basic Pinky is a 2 year old spayed DSH. Her owner got her from a friend and has had her all her life. She has had no health problems or injuries and was last seen by a vet in Feb 2017 for spaying and vaccines. Her owner stated that after she got spayed, Pinky became more of a recluse and would not let her owner handle her much. Socialization Around strangers Pinky is shy and fearful. She will not come out much to be pet. She has not spent time around children or other cats, or pets. She plays exuberantly with adults. She does not have a bite history. Behavior Pinky will often scratch on the furniture and will hide in fear. She started to hide in fear after she got spayed., before she was a little more social. Pinky has never been in a car. She hasnt ever had issues with using the litter box. For new family Pinky is described as affectionate to the owner when the owner is lying down Pinky will come and purr and curl into her to be petted. She is also described as fearful, independent and shy. Her activity level is medium. Pinky loves to play with her stuffed mouse toy and at home she will follow her owner around everywhere, or hang out in her favorite spot which is under the bed. She has been kept indoors only and sleeps on her owner’s bed. She likes to eat Friskies canned food 2xday and does not have a favorite treat. She is very litter box trained and used a hooded litterbox with clumping litter. She used to have a vertical scratching post made of rough rope and carpet, but once Pinky destroyed that her owner never got her a new one, and so Pinky has been using the furniture to scratch on.
