*** SAFE 09/25/16 *** SECOND CHANCE FOR PINKY!! MAKE IT COUNT!! When a person brings a stray cat to the ACC, do they they think they are doing that cat a favor? PINKY is about a year old and ended up at the ACC because someone felt they were doing the right thing.PINKY has some rodent ulcers on her mouth. Clearly sounds like this poor cat has been living a rough life. PINKY is a friendly girl whose stay at the shelter has merely been a formal waiting period before the grim finale. PINKY has made the euth list, which means that tonight is make-or-break for her. Will PINKY get enough traction to find a home, and a happy ending to the story? You are writing this story. Please do everything possible to make it a good one.

09/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Pinky came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She allowed her finder to pick her up and bring her in, and allowed all handling at the time of intake. During her initial medical examination, Pinky did not aggress but was tense throughout and tried to flee. She was sensitive to being scruffed and uncomfortable with her face being touched. During her behavior evaluation Pinky appeared social but flinched away from touch. Reaction to assessor: Pinky approaches the front of her cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at front, body soft. Reaction to touch: Pinky retreats from the assessor’s hand but does allow gentle touch on the forehead and body. At one point she raises a paw but does not strike and nails are not extended – this seems to be a means of exploring the object in front of her. Placement determination: Experienced adopters Pinky tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter and is sensitive to being touched on her face. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
