10/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Piggy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Piggy was curled at the front of the kennel looking out at his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Piggy makes eye contact with the assessor then hissed and slowly moved to the back with his body lowered. Reaction to cage door opening: Piggy remains motionless and starts to grumble. Reaction to touch: Piggy hissed then leaned away from contact when the assessor approached. He stress meows then starts to breathe heavy when touched along his body. His body is tense, he’s unsure of contact and he slowly presses his body up against the back wall. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Piggy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
