06/17/18
Very sweet but a little nervous and lip licking. Easily handle able. Did well for all medical handling and procedures
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
06/18/18
Curled up by back cubby, resting. Turns to face me when coaxed and leans forward, but starts to breathe rapidly. Slowly shifts body to face the front and accepts petting all over, shifting position again for more comfort. Seems nervous, but appreciates all attention. Just needs time to acclimate.Â
06/20/18
Curled up and pressed up against the back wall of the cubby. He turns his head to make eye contact, lip licks and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. He shifts his body weight and continues lip licking when the door opens. His pupils partially dilate and he leans away when I extend my hand out. He sniffs my hand and closes his eyes when rubbed on his cheeks. His body feels tense and he allows gentle pets all over, but seems very wary of his surroundings. Needs more time to adjust.
06/21/18
Curled up by back cubby, looking out with dilated eyes. Meows softly when door opens and sniffs hand, hesitant, but accepts petting and slowly shifts to come to the front. Warms up with attention, but retreats back into cubby whenever there is sudden noise or movement. Was able to coax out to main kennel space and purrs when pet, really sweet cat, but seems wary of surroundings.
06/22/18
Lying down in his litter box, near the front of the kennel. He leans forward to sniff my hand, and perks up when rubbed on his cheeks. Comes out his cubby and rubs up against my hand. Much more confident today! His tail rises up and he arches his back when pet along his body. Food motivated- enjoys tuna filet. Gives head butts, rolled over on his side. Still a bit wary, retreats whenever he hears a loud noise or when someone walks by.
