11/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Perla looks neutral, lying down on her cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Perla stands with tail up, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Perla head-butts the assessor’s hand, rolling over in place, but after the touch she swats multiple times and hisses while he continues to solicit attention. Placement determination: Experience / no child Perla is social and affectionate but appears to be easily overstimulated. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Perla becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
