***SAFE 08/24/16*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY PEPPER IS A LOVELY LADY WHO NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT! PEPPER is a 2 yr old kitty who is already spayed. She was “found” by someone who barely gave enough time for PEPPER and their own cat to be introduced properly. At the first reaction from his own cat, he decided to pack up PEPPER and dispose of her in the ACC. Did he honestly think that the shelter would find her a home? PEPPER was a friendly cat who liked people and allowed herself to be picked up. On her assessment she was calm and came to the front of her cage for attention but thanks to a “gentle nip” to say “I’ve had enough” they slapped her with an EXPNOCHILD rating and put her on tonight’s list. PEPPER is a sweetheart who would be so happy to have a home with someone to love her and give her some independent space! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAVE THIS LOVELY LADY YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL 12 NOON TO DO IT. PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO ADOPT OR FOSTER. EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE CONTACT INFO.

Pepper watches your hand as you touch her on the back but doesn’t lash out or hiss. Pepper lightly head butts and gets used to contact. Reaction to assessor: Pepper does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Pepper does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Pepper remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Pepper allows limited petting and attention before attempt to nips gently as a warning to stop Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Pepper was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation.
