SAFE 3/26/16 “Pepito, why do you look so surprised?”
“Well, I must say ACC is looking great these days, but I didn’t expect to find myself here again 12 years later! Back to a home now, please.”
A volunteer writes 12 years young and handsome as can be, Pepito is an Oreo-colored cutie you can’t help but love and this sweet guy is ready to love love love you right back! Named for a Simpsons character dubbed ‘The Biggest Cat in the Whole Wide World’, our petite Pepito is quite the opposite but what he lacks in girth he certainly makes up for in affectionate charm. Though he seems shy at first, it only takes a minute of soft talk and gentle petting before he’s lost in purrs, nudging his face into my palm, stretching out his chin for scratching and rubbing his head against the edge of his box to beg for more. When someone new walks into the room he’s alert as a kitten and peeps round the corner with wide-eyed curiosity and if I hadn’t read it for myself, I’d never have guessed Pepito was officially a senior citizen–he looks fantastic! Adopted from the Care Center many years ago, Pepito’s journey may have come full circle but his story is far from over. He deserves to live happily ever after and has many years of life and love still ahead of him, all he needs now is a home to enjoy them in…
